Our Story
Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue was founded by Michelle Holland, Scott Moore, and his brother Greg Moore, who turned a passion for craft chocolate into one of Texas’s most celebrated food destinations. What began in 2015 as a bean-to-bar chocolate operation evolved into a nationally recognized barbecue joint—blending old-school Texas smoking techniques with artisan chocolate craftsmanship. The team is known for their hands-on approach, commitment to quality, and deep roots in Tomball, where they restored one of the town’s oldest buildings into the home of Tejas. Today, their dedication to craft, creativity, and community has earned statewide acclaim and a loyal following.

Tejas Craftory began as the oldest known residential home in Tomball. A place that once held family life, everyday moments, and small-town history within its walls. Over time, the home was carefully preserved and reimagined into what is now a living craft space: a home for fire, flavor, chocolate, and creativity. Today, the Craftory houses Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue, where slow-smoked meats, handcrafted chocolate, and Texas hospitality come together under the same historic roof. The building still carries the soul of its original purpose, A place meant to gather, nourish, and bring people together just now with a new story written in smoke, cocoa, and community.
